Housed in a historical building, this hotel is ideally located in the heart of Mont Saint-Michel. The classic-style rooms overlook the bay, the abbey or the medieval city.

The room was great and the bathroom looked like it had just been updated and renovated. Breakfast was very good and there were many options of breakfast food. Coffee was excellent. Location for breakfast was tricky to find as it La Mere Poulard was under going some renovations and we had another hotel for check-in. We found it! It was just beyond the drawbridge entrance. Photo was taken from my bedroom window at night.

Location was great, close to the mountain and damm. Room was very spacious, lots of space to put clothes on and I was pleasantly surprised by toilet room being separated from the bathroom.
This Mercure is situated in parkland just 2 km from the abbey of Mont Saint Michel. It offers spacious en suite rooms, a restaurant and bar and plenty of free on-site parking.

Perfect, recommended strongly, and don't bother to stay on the island, but stay in this hotel, it's clean and right near the Free shuttle buse stop!

The location is great! We had a amazing view from our windows. It is quiet, spacious, and the staff was very friendly.

The Abbey tour itself was nice, but the mob we had to struggle thru to get there was a nightmare. And when we were done with the tour? Wall to Wall humanity. As if they dropped Euro Disney into the middle of the medieval walkways. We were here the first week of May, before the U.S. tourists even started arriving. I cannot imagine how awful this would have been with even more people. This is a magnificent place, well worth seeing ... FROM A DISTANCE. The walkways to the Mont were utterly jammed with people, and after a 40 minute wait the shuttles were stuffed like sardines. STAY AWAY! (Or maybe go in February or something). Take a photo from a distance and KEEP ON DRIVING.

The shuttles from the hotel complex are free and run every 10mns or so. It's also a lovely 2km walk from the hotel if you want to avoid the packed shuttle.
Don't bother spending a fortune on the hotels as they're all in the same place and are all about the same really.
The restaurant Le Pré Salé is the best and is a must if you're into good food. Book early though!
I recommend going in the evening to the mont st michel after 3pm when crowds start to leave. We went around 12pm and it was very busy despite it being a Monday mid season.
The self guided audio tour is great and well worth it.
And food is outrageously expensive in the Mont village and really not so good. Best bring a picnic and save your money for a nice restaurant in the evening.
All this said, a fabulous day out!

Mont St Michel is wonderful to visit.
Mont St Michel is wonderful to visit. The accommodation however was very poor and in an annex which was hard to find. The room was small and in very bad condition. Light switch hanging off the wall, tv and bedside lights did not work and space very limited. We had to persuade the restaurant staff that we had prepaid for dinner! Would certainly pick another hotel if we returned, which we won’t.

we knew there would be crowds - so we wanted to see it at night. arriving at 10:30pm, we found our room (finally) and took off to explore with a bottle of wine, a baguette, some cheese and dried meats - and had a glorious experience with not another soul about . . . wandered til 2:30 am and got spectacular photographs and had a wonderful time. got up at 8:30, had cafe & crepes, and left the isle at about 10:30 just as the masses began to arrive. trust me - do it like this . . .

Beautiful place to visit steeped in history but extremely crowded all day long. Only quiet and empty at night but everything is shut then very early and difficult to find a place to eat. The car park is extremely expensive and dreadfully overpriced. I paid €34 for overnight stay in a disabled Car park for which I had a blue Badge. Thought this was exorbitant and a terrible rip-off! However, there is no choice because shuttle bus is so far away from the Mount.

Great to spend the evening on Mont st Michel but aim to arrive by 7pm to enjoy a meal before all the restaurants close. You can look around the island once all the day tourists have gone home.
I recommend getting to the Abbey when it opens, or just after, agsin to get ahead of day trippers.
One night on the island is sufficient.
You need to be mobile. Steps too steep for wheelchairs and push chairs.

Location is superb! Turn left out of reception and only 30 metres up the road is the free shuttle bus stop to Le Mont Saint Michel. Parking at the hotel wasn’t a problem when we arrived but we stayed in late peak season so not sure if there is additional parking. Staff were polite, friendly and spoke very good English which helped as my French isn’t very good. Also breakfast is next door in Le Pre Sale they offered a good selection continental and again the staff were polite, friendly and spoke English. We would definitely stay again
The location as many have said is great. The navette (shuttle ) to Le Mont Saint Michelle stops right in front of the hotel
But I never saw the Hotel shuttle. This navette is the same that takes you from the bus stop if you are coming on the bus.
My single room was very small but enough for me. It wouldn’t be confortable for two people.
you get the basics for $150 dollars a night, but I think you are paying for the location
The room was just off the main "street" minutes from the Abbey. It was great to stay over on the island as everyone leaves at the end of the day and you have the place to yourselves.
All I would say as a negative was the intructions weren't brilliant from the reception of the other hotel we had to use and we were wandering about for a bit with our luggage. Breakfast was nice and the room was lovely
The room was basic as advertised. It was clean and the shower was nice. The nice receptionist took us to our room which included some stairs. It was a bit expensive but we stayed right on the "island" which was fantastic. We watched a beautiful sunset and could be first in line to visit the Abbey. By staying on the island we could avoid crowds. Definitely a must see place in France!
-Great location: near convenient store/restaurants, just opposite shuttle bus station to the Mont Saint Michel as well as bus station to-and-from Pontorson//less than 10 minutes from tourist information and bus station to-and-from Rennes.
-Good facilities and reasonable price regarding that this area is one of the most popular attractions in France.
Hotel is in a great location on the island of Mont Saint Michel. There is direct access to the battlements from the hotel. Room was small but comfortable. It's in an old building so we didn't expect a huge room anyway. Restaurant on the ground floor was nice for meals. Staff were friendly. I'm glad to have had the experience of staying on the island.
Very spacious room, proper facilities including hair dryer and kettle, nice location near Mont Saint Michel as you can walk for 25-30 mins or take a free shuttle bus only 2 stops to there. Also, the new restaurant in the hotel has an interesting policy: plant-based ingredients, so you can enjoy eating various kinds of healthy food.
The location is superb. Staying overnight on the island is wonderful, especially in the absence of loads of tourists, thanks to Covid and the winter season. Experiencing the unique quiet and mediaeval mystique in the early morning is priceless. The hotel is good value for money
Fabulous location right on the island. One of two restaurants open in the evening. Very kind and helpful staff. Ok to leave your bags after checkout so you visit the abbey. Parking well organized and secure. Don’t bring a large suitcase, just what you need for an overnight.
It was within a walkable distance from mont saint Michel but you have to pay to enter the area where the hotel is , there is very little parking near the hotel, no elevator snd staff is not helpful at all , thank God we only booked for one night.
The view of Mont St-Michel from the room is good. The location is best for walking to St-Michel as it is the nearest hotel to St-Michel and the shuttle service stops just outside the hotel. Parking is easy to get to.
The location was perfect for us and fits our needs. room was comfy enough for us. and the shower room was spacious compared to some in other hotels in France. will definitely come back in the future.
The location was great, as it was the first hotel on the island. The breakfast buffet was really good with lots of choice. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely.
We wanted to stay on the island so the accomodation, whilst not perfect, served the purpose. Breakfast was average, and expensive for what was provided.
